In Their Own Story

The final battle on Azura sees Marcus Fenix reunited with his father, Adam Fenix, who reveals that Imulsion is a living organism similar to fungus. As the Imulsion countermeasure activates, killing all living cells colonized by Imulsion, Myrrah survives the initial attack. She approaches Marcus and mocks his grief over Dom's sacrifice and Adam's disintegration. In a moment of cold defiance, she insults Adam before Marcus kills her with Dom's commando knife. This act occurs as the radiation wave sweeps across Sera, destroying Imulsion and crystallizing Locust bodies.
